Pennsylvania Wildflowers

Febuary/March flowering

^Skunk Cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus)

Not many wildflowers bloom this early in Pennsylvania, but Skunk Cabbage is often up and flowering through a few inches of snow! Later in the Spring the flowers disappear and the foliage grows quickly to a height of about 3 feet.

^Dandelion (Taraxacum officiinale)

Dandelions are up and flowering as soon as we have some milder days, and will continue to flower off and on throughout the summer and fall.
